Jess Wicke

was born and raised in Huntington Beach, CA. After being introduced to dance during a play date at 8 years old, Jess was invited to join Studio Fusion’s very first mini competition team that day and continued as a competition dancer for the next 10 years. She trained in Jazz, Lyrical, Ballet, Hip Hop, Contemporary, and Musical Theater. After self-choreographing her senior solo, Jess started teaching and choreographing. In 2021, Jess booked her first professional job as a dancer in Tessa Violet’s virtual concert experience, Bad Ideas, which was choreographed by Kayla Kalbflesich.

When the CLI Conservatory was created by Teddy Forance, Jess moved to Easthampton, MA to participate in the inaugural class of the 9-month program. There, she trained with dozens of choreographers in all styles of dance, participated in 10 video projects, performed in a musical based on the conservatory, and performed in 11 pieces in the closing show. Jess then jumped at the chance to be in the inaugural class of Genesis Studios’ Gen Pro Program to further her dance education and make strategic connections in Los Angeles, CA. She recently completed two projects with MashUp Contemporary Dance Company as a guest and was invited to be a regular company member for the 2023/24 season.

Jess has a very unique movement quality that she can’t wait to share with the dance world. She is excited for the next steps in her journey as a dancer, choreographer, teacher, and model.
